Cashews are naturally rich, creamy, and loaded with nutrients, making them one of the most popular dry fruits. Lightly salted and roasted cashews are not just healthy but also incredibly addictive.
Instead of buying packaged salted cashews from stores, you can make them at home in just a few minutes using two simple ingredients – raw cashew nuts and salt. The best part? You can control the saltiness and freshness, ensuring a healthier and more budget-friendly version.
Whether you’re looking for a quick tea-time snack, a party appetizer, or a tasty accompaniment for your drinks, these salted cashews are always a hit!
Ingredients:
Raw Cashew Nuts – as per requirement ( Order now on Blinkit )
Rock Salt/Table Salt – 1 ½ cup (for roasting)
Step-by-Step Recipe:
Step 1: Heat the salt
Take a deep kadhai or thick-bottomed pan.
Add the salt and heat it over high flame.
Stir the salt continuously using a perforated/spoon to distribute the heat evenly.
Step 2: Roast the cashew nuts
Once the salt is hot, reduce the flame to medium.
Add raw cashew nuts into the hot salt.
Stir constantly for about 1 minute so they roast evenly.
You’ll notice the cashews turning light golden brown.
Step 3: Cool down
Remove the cashews with a slotted spoon and transfer them to a wide plate.
Let them cool at room temperature.
